Touch Africa Now (TAN) is a registered Charitable, non- profit making organization. TAN has been operational in Uganda since 2011.In the beginning, has its major activities in Masindi, and later expanded its activities to Mbale, Bushenyi, Wakiso, Kampala, Arua and Yumbe. TAN is headquartered in Kampala with a sub-regional office in Arua District in West Nile.
The organization's major aim is to implement sustainable development programs for the local communities in order to enhance their socioeconomic status and ensuring that our communities get an inclusive and quality education that promotes lifelong learning.

Our Major programs are:

  1. Child Education Scholarships
  2. Teacher sponsorship and Capacity Development
  3. WASH Programs
  4. Health intervention programs and sensitization
  5. Emergency relief Aid
  6. Empowerment Programs

TAN is manned by a team of professionals with a wide range of experience and technical competence in areas of planning, management and implementation of community developmental projects.

Our Mission is to empower and support communities to become self-reliant in order to cause sustainable human development.

Our Vision is to positively transform the lives of disadvantaged individuals and communities through developing strategic relationships, networks and partnerships that promote Godly values.

TAN’s goal is to cause sustainable human development in Uganda and Africa at large


  1. To improve livelihoods at all levels through assessment, design and implementation of sustainable community development projects.
  2. To mobilize human, financial and other resources needed to support community projects and programs.
  3. To establish new and strengthen existing strategic partnerships and collaborations for accelerated progress towards the achievement of sustainable human development.
  4. To undertake organizational development to ensure the sustainability of the organization and effective response to TAN’s mandate.
  5. To continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of TAN’s interventions in transforming the lives of disadvantaged individuals and communities

Our Mandate                             
It is our mandate to invest in sustainable community development through project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This involves all community stake holders both at local and district levels.

  1. To remain relevant and visible in the humanitarian world, TAN will endeavor to fundraise rigorously, so as to acquire enough funds to achieve the organization’s goals.
  2. Competent staff will be hired to draft project proposals which are relevant to the needs of the communities TAN serves.
  3. Due care will be taken to invest in sustainable community projects after careful project planning, community study and community involvement during implementation. Monitoring and evaluation will be emphasized, involving stakeholders at both local and district levels.
